Matthew 28:19Under the Office of the Bishop, the diocesan Office of Missions, which is comprised of the Pontifical Mission Societies, exists to promote mission awareness and support for the various programs. These Pontifical Mission Societies include the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, the Missionary Childhood Association, the Mission Union of the Clergy and the Society of St. Peter the Apostle.
Who We Are
The Mission Office of the Diocese of Trenton serves as the diocesan center for missionary animation, education, formation, and cooperation with the universal Church.
Inspired by Christ's Great Commission, we promote missionary awareness throughout our parishes, schools, religious education programs, and diocesan ministries. Through prayer, education, and generosity, we invite every Catholic to participate in the Church's mission of bringing Christ to the world.
Whether serving locally or supporting missionaries across the globe, every baptized person shares in the missionary vocation.
Our Mission
The Diocese of Trenton Mission Office exists to
- Foster missionary awareness throughout the Diocese
- Support the work of The Pontifical Mission Societies
- Coordinate the annual Missionary Cooperative Plan
- Promote World Mission Sunday
- Encourage missionary education among children and youth
- Form missionary disciples through prayer and charity
- Connect the faithful of our Diocese with the needs of the universal Church

Missionaries visit diocesan parish communities ~ Missionary Cooperation Plan
The 91 parishes across Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean Counties are preparing to cultivate the “missionary heart” of the Diocese of Trenton this summer as missionaries from throughout the world make their annual visits and offer appeals for support. Our parishes host missionaries in June, July, and August.
